FORUMS - COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER SOAY SHEEP BREEDERS
Soays of America provides several methods of communication with other Soay sheep owners and breeders.
Both a source of information and an online community for Soay sheep breeders in Canada and the USA. The advantage of a Message Board is that there are no emails to clog up your inbox. However, if there are one or more particular thread(s) that interest you, you have the option to subscribe to those topics, which enables you to be notified via email when someone responds to that particular thread. If you can't find the answers to your questions on the SOA website (see Sitemap for most subjects), the new online forum allows you to search for answers there, and ask questions of our members. This new message board also provides a category for buying and selling American or British Soay sheep registered with SOA.
An email group at yahoogroups that is open to Soay owners and breeders in the United States and Canada. This group has been in existence since 2000, with the archives showing years of information as well as the evolution of SOA. This group of about 100 is composed of SOA members as well as non-members, is useful for new people just getting started with Soay sheep, and provides an avenue once per month to list Soay sheep for sale.
An email group for SOA members only, has been in existence since 2001, and is used for discussions about SOA business, including creating policy and bylaws.
