Some form of shelter is important for your Soay sheep, and it must be large enough to accommodate your entire flock.  Some shepherds have elaborate barns, some use simple 3-sided shelters with the open side facing away from prevailing winds, and some use combinations.

Here are two of the small sheds I build this year. All are on skids with eyebolts in the runners so I can hook up a chain and drag them. The horizontal members are lag-screwed together. I installed a kick panel inside. The rams can be really rough on a shed when they get the notion. Bittersweet Farm 2005
