Soay sheep are small, easy care livestock that can often resemble deer.  The many photos of Soay sheep shown here were taken by the owners of the sheep at the time of the photo.  Photos used by permission and credit is given for each one; a link to the breeder is provided where possible.

Some of these sheep are shown with their fleeces partially shed out.  Not all breeders collect the fleece, many just let it fall out on its own.  Some breeders do collect the fleece when it is ready to "roo", to keep the fiber for their own use, or to sell it to handspinners.  Whichever method appeals to the owner is the "right" one.
