Sue Furness has given SOA permission to publish photos of her flock of primarily white Soay sheep. Sheep with white markings are also known as piebald.
Sue has shared her ongoing story with Soays of America; Part 1 was published in the January 2006 SOA newsletter. In addition to learning the story of how this white flock of Soay sheep evolved over the course of 20 years, this series of installments also gives glimpses of some of the trials that face new owners, as well as a first-hand history of the requirements in the UK for keeping and treating sheep and how they have evolved as well.
The photos on this page are the property of Sue Furness, are copyright by Sue Furness and Dr. Steve Furness as noted, are used here with Sue's permission and may not be reproduced without written permission from Sue Furness.
